我為什麼開始學習中國書畫呢？

那是在2009年

當時自己在工作上累壞了

聆聽自己內心的感覺辭職

換了一個工作環境

想在工餘時找一些精神寄托

找些興趣班

一直對傳統文化感興趣的我

當時見在家附近有中國書畫班

便去報名

Why did I start Chinese Calligraphy and Painting?

Date back to 2009

I was sick and tired of my job at that time

I listened to myself and resigned 

And changed another job

I wanted to learn something after work

I am interested in traditional cultures

So I enrolled the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Class that near my house

中國書畫是一個漫長的旅程

將近十年的學習

來一個小小回顧總結

Chinese Calligraphy and Painting is a long journey 

I would like to review and summarise my 10 years learning 

✨

到現在我在中國書畫的得著是什麼呢?

一些用筆的技術

一些有關紙筆墨硯的知識

抒發情緒的途徑

傳遞情感的方法、載體

安定身心的方法

精神層面上的練習

聆聽自己、觀察自己、與自己溝通、了解自己、欣賞自己、修正自己

古老的智慧

快樂

What do I get from Chinese Calligraphy and Painting?

Some brush techniques 

Some knowledge about paper, brush, ink-stick, ink-stone

A way and vehicle to express my emotions 

A tool to clam my mind

A method to train the mind

Learn to listen to myself, observe myself, a way to communicate with myself, understand myself, appreciate myself, fine-tune myself

Ancient wisdom 

Happiness

感恩遇到一位給我很大自由度的楊老師

上書畫課沒有壓力

不急於出作品

有時要停下來休息一下也可以

同時也感受到老師傾囊相授的教學

甚至鼓勵我們將上課教學內容錄影分享

讓這些筆法得以延續

I feel thankful for meeting a teacher,

that provides me a stress-free learning atmosphere in Chinese Calligraphy and Painting

No rush for producing the art work 

Can take rest when needed

And I can feel the enthusiasm of his teaching, without preservation 

Even encourages us to take video during class to record his teaching 

Share the knowledge, is a way to achieve immortality

回看自己這幅寫在二十六歲時的作品

曾經好幾次想要再寫

但始終寫不回那個感覺

這經驗

又一次印證了一期一會

When I look back to this art work that is done when I was 26 years old

I tried to write it again for a few times

but never be able to write the exact emotions same as that time

These experiences proved the concept of “One Encounter, One Chance” again

好多時不去刻意追求什麼

好的作品自然就出來

保持練習就好了

Practice not to chase for something 

When we chase for nothing

Sometimes the nice art work will come automatically 

Simply keep practice
