同場和我一起練字的小朋友寫了「快樂小豬」四個字給老師

老師看了後

說要將「快樂小豬」寫得快樂一點

老師讓我也寫一個「快樂小豬」

寫字好似做瑜伽

寫字好似茶道⋯

不同的人做同一個瑜伽式子

由於各人身體骨骼結構的獨一無二

會有不同的呈現

做回自己

聆聽自己內心的聲音

自己先懂得欣賞自己

不用在意別人的眼光

無需尋求別人的認同

別人是否看得懂

別人是否欣賞

別人是否喜歡自己的作品

無需理會

藉筆墨表達自己

表達情感

嘗試將筆墨套入音符

沒有哲學

不是中國畫

中國畫亦盛載人生閲歷

屬於精神層面

在欣賞上乘紙筆墨的同時

老師說一些書法家到了一定功力的時候

會去觀察小孩子寫字

並學習小孩子寫字

估計他們是向小孩子學習那份純粹

練習去除不屬於自己的部分

Happy Piglet

I came to a bottle neck in Calligraphy practice earlier.

A child practiced with me wrote “Happy Piglet”.

My teacher asked him to write it again and make it happier.

Teacher asked me to write it too.

Teacher also wrote one.

How to write “Happy Piglet” and shows happiness through the handwriting?

How to write wind?

How to draw wind?

Next level is to create.

Create happiness 

Create strength...

Handwriting shows one's personality.

One’s handwriting looks like painting

One’s handwriting reveals yoga

One’s handwriting presents Tea Ceremony... 

The same yoga pose shows differently when it is done by different people.

As we all are unique with different structures.

Be yourself 

Listen to our heart

Appreciate ourselves

No need to chase after other’s appreciation.

Others may not be able to understand.

It is ok.

Express our emotions through brush, ink and water.

Any try to key in different Music Notes with different brush and ink languages.

Chinese Painting contains philosophy and life experience.

Related to the mind.

Painting beyond paper.

Yoga off the mat.

Meditation off the cushion.

Different arts meet up at a certain point.

Arts and Zen are also connected in certain way.

Widely considered one of the greatest painters, Leonardo da Vinci’s areas of interest included invention, painting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany...

Learn and practice to appreciate good techniques, paper, ink and brushes.

Some good calligraphers will observe children’s writing and learn from them.  

I guess what they want to learn from the children is simplicity.

Practice letting go.
